Hat Manners

Hats are removed to the National Anthem, the passing from the Flag and funeral processions

It is suggested that men and women both remove their hats throughout the national anthem... unless the lady would wear a really proper hat.

It is usually considered proper for men to remove their hats in the use of a girl.... it is charming mostly it really is act of courtesy and respect.

It's also considered proper for men to remove his hat upon an elevator if at all possible, particularly when a girl is onboard.

Men normally remove their hats when entering a building or reaching their destinations.

Removed hats are locked in hand such that shows merely the outside and the lining is not visible.

It really is befitting women to put on hats in the church and thought of inappropriate for guys.

If the woman wears a hat in a theatre she may let it rest on unless it causes those behind to move their heads to find out around it.

It is considered right for a gentleman to tip his hat to a lady in passing... he could change it out after passing. If he meets a lady to speak with, he should either tip it or take it off, but them change it if realize talk or walk.

It is very poor manners and is considered quite insulting for males to tip his hat to an alternative man.
